Welcoming Jillian Du, BayREN's New Single Family Home+ Program Manager

We are thrilled to introduce Jillian Du as the new Program Manager for BayREN’s Single Family Home+ (Single Family) program. A proud Bay Area native, Jillian brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at the Climate & Clean Energy Equity Fund, where she spearheaded climate policy learning initiatives and developed community strategies with a dedicated focus on equity, justice, resilience, and urban environments. In her capacity, she provided policy and technical support to numerous community-based organizations, aiding them in advocating for a clean energy future. Before that, Jillian was a research manager at the World Resources Institute, playing a key role in developing and publishing toolkits and reports centered on equitable program design.

In her new role with BayREN, Jillian is determined to forge new partnerships and build coalitions that form the foundation and reach of the Single Family program. This program is designed to assist homeowners and renters in their energy upgrade journey by providing education, rebates, and no-cost energy consultation services. Expressing her enthusiasm, Jillian shares, “I’m looking forward to seeing this program enable many families (that otherwise would not have been able to afford to) stay warm, cool, and healthy in their homes without breaking the bank.” The overarching goal is to create homes that are not only energy-efficient but also healthier and more comfortable for residents.

As a Bay Area native, her connection to the region through people and food is just as important. Her favorite thing about the region is the diversity of people. Jillian also revealed her favorite restaurants include Lion Dance Café in Downtown Oakland and Café Colucci in North Oakland. We look forward to Jillian’s leadership and fresh perspective as we continually aim to improve our program offerings!
